Past Donate and Create Non-Profit Event
THANK YOU TO ALL who supported our Donate and Create event on April 25th, 2015 in support of Calgarians living with aphasia: struggling to find words. We raised $1000.00!
Artists and non-artists alike enjoyed this creative play and experienced the benefits of art. All walked in empty handed and all walk out with a masterpiece inspried by Picasso!
The Calgary Aphasia Centre is a newly launched organization in support of individuals with aphasia & family members. Aphasia is an impairment in the ability to speak, write, read or understand and is most commonly caused by a stroke or other brain injury. Aphasia does not affect intelligence.
Past Donate and Create Charity Event- 2012 & 2013
Thanks to the generous support of family, friends and community members, we have been ale to support Neighbour Link's No Crib for a Bed program in November 2012 & 2013. By participating in this local and worthwile program, we provided an impoverished baby in Calgary more than an just a peaceful sleep in a comfortable crib - we also provided their parents with the opportunity to give their child a great start to life. Aliki's Art House donated a new crib and participants helped fill it with new born essentials such as baby formula, diapers and wipes, baby food, baby toiletries, etc. Visit the NeighbourLink website for more information.
Artists and non-artists alike engaged in creative play designed to help them stay calm, centered and connected to what matters most. Everyone had a wonderful evening the past 2 years!
