Summer Art Camps 2010

This summer we will be offering both beginner and intermediate fine art camps with a focus on drawing using a variety of media.
All camps are taught by certified teachers and professional artists. Each camp is also assigned at least one art assistant, depending on class size.
Art supplies needed for each day will be provided and are included in camp cost.
Students will be accepted into the camp by completing an art assessment during registration.

The Basics of Drawing (Beginner Camp)
This camp is geared to students who are beginning their artistic journey. Our focus for the week is learning about different styles of drawing (from realistic to abstract) while being exposed to a variety of materials. Throughout the week, students will learn the foundational skill of drawing using a sequential 7 step system.

Ages: 7-16
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon
Total Cost: $185. per student ($25. Non-refundable registration fee and $160. camp fee)
Dates: July 5 - July 9 (15 spots currently available)
August 9 - August 13 (15 spots currently available)

Beyond Basics (Intermediate Camp)
Pre-Requisite: Students must have previously attended at least one summer art camp or have taken at least one year of regular weekly classes.
Beyond Basics is essentially a drawing camp however, we will be drawing using a variety of media...everything from charcoal to dried flowers. Each art piece will be an independent project that will incorporate foundational drawing skills, previously learned, with lots of room for creative expression.

Ages: 7-16
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon
Cost: $185. per student ($25. Non-refundable registration fee and $160. camp fee)
Dates: August 16 - August 20 (15 spots currently available)

Advanced Drawing camp
Pre-Requisite: Students must have previously attended at least two summer art camps (beginner and intermediate camps) or have taken at least two years of regular weekly classes.

Ages: 8-16
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon
Cost: $185. per student ($25. Non-refundable registration fee and $160. camp fee)
Dates: August 23 - August 27 (15 spots currently available)

Children's Classes September 2010 - June 2011

By using a proven step-by-step system, children create drawings in a variety of realistic and abstract drawing styles.
The progression of lessons in a wide range of media, guide students to developing independent drawing skills while nurturing personal expression and creativity.
Class projects are richly balanced with inspirations gathered from a wide range of sources.
Our studio provides a safe environment where young artists can feel comfortable taking chances in their work and exploring new ideas and media.
Each student will receive an art assessment prior to registration in order to determine artistic level and needs.
Students will also receive a sketchbook for the year.
All stages are welcome from beginner to advanced.
Ages: 7 and up

Beginner Class

This class is for students who are beginning their artistic journey. No previous experience required.

Day: Wednesday
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Classes run from September 8, 2010 - June 22, 2011
Cost:

$25. registration fee
$110 per month includes most materials needed for the full year and GST.

Intermediate Class

This class is for students who have taken one full year of weekly art classes.

Day: Thursday
Time: 4:00pm - 5:15pm.
Classes run from September 9, 2010 - June 23, 2011.

Advanced Class

This class is for students who have taken two full years of weekly art classes.

Day: Tuesday
Time: 5:00pm - 6:15pm.
Classes run from September 7, 2010 - June 21, 2011.
