Learning to draw opens up endless possibilities and easily helps students branch off into other art forms. Although it is a myth, society and peers often see realistic drawing as the gold standard in whether a person is considered an artist or not. Having said that, learning to draw realistically does build artistic confidence.

Before Instruction: Student sample, age 7

After Instruction: Student sample, age 7
This class is for students who are beginning their artistic journey. No previous experience required. The photo above shows how one student improved her ability to draw bumble bees in one lesson.

Student sample, age 8
This horse was originally drawn upside down. Drawing upside down helps students access the right hemisphere of their brain, which makes drawing much easier.

Student sample, age 11
We also provide a rich art education by teaching our students, color theory, art history and vocabulary. Students are taught not only realistic drawing but different types of drawing as seen in the abstract flower above. This helps students understand that not all drawings are realistic and that we can always change our mistakes into an abstract work of art.
